Blogs are hard

I have found that since the birth of my little boy Owen, blogging is just something that falls at the wayside. It also seems like Facebook has taken over what little time I used to have at the computer. That said, I do plan on blogging again soon. Probably not real soon, but soon. I have a lot to say, and so do my kids. :) Funny stuff I may add. Today is Nicolas' 5th b-day! I started this blog when he was 6 months old, so I think I have to keep it up a little longer. Love you Nico! Hope you had a wonderful b-day!

Eggy Pit

Nicolas has been learning to read. He reads everything, signs, books, warning labels on bounce houses. So Nicolas says to me, "Mom, what is Eggy Pit?" I say "What do you mean?" He says, "Where is Eggy Pit? What state is it?" I thought for a while. "Where did you see that?" His reply, "On a toy, it says made in Eggy Pit." "Oh, EGYPT!" I laugh. He was just trying to sound it out. My smart little guy.

This is a real conversation that took place between Nicolas and I today.

We were on our way to swimming lessons when I said....

Yvonne: Nic, I know you don't like your swim goggles but you should just try them today. They help you see under water!

Nic: But I CAN see under water. I have eyes.

Yvonne: Well, yes you do, but the goggles help so you don't get water in your eyes when you are underwater. They help you see better!

Nic: But cars don't have to wear goggles when they are underwater!

Yvonne: That's because a car isn't a person.

Nic: But MOOOOMMMMMM.....I'M a car!!!
